(Minghui.org) Ms. Guo Yulan died after five police officers ransacked her home and arrested her husband at their own coal company during the 18thNational Party Congress in 2012.

Ms. Guo started practicing Falun Gong in 1997. She set up a Fa study group at her home, and there were always 20-30 people reading together there after work. Ms. Guo was illiterate, but after she started practicing, she was able to read the book Zhuan Falun.

After the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) started to persecute Falun Gong in 1999, Ms. Guo’s family was repeatedly harassed by the local authorities. Her husband was arrested and sent to a forced labor camp in the second half of 2000. She found a cleaning job to support herself and her children. She also distributed truth clarification materials to expose the persecution of Falun Gong. When other practitioners were persecuted and forced to become homeless to avoid being arrested again, Mrs. Guo put them up. Even though she was in a very difficult situation herself, she still helped others as much as she could.

Due to the severe persecution and not being able to endure any more, Ms. Guo’s husband not only turned against Falun Gong, but also helped officials to “transform” other practitioners at Shouguang Brainwashing Center after he was released. Soon after, Ms. Guo was arrested at her home by officers from Shouguang Industrial District Police Station. She was shocked with electric batons and beaten to get her to reveal the names of other practitioners, but she did not. She was later taken to the brainwashing center. Harassed and pressured by the authorities and her husband, she gave up cultivation. Her health then deteriorated after she was released.

With practitioners’ help, she wrote a solemn declaration to begin cultivating again. She started to do the exercises and read every day, and her physical condition improved a lot. Her husband also started to practice again.

During the 18th National Party Congress in November 2012, her husband was arrested at his own coal company by about five police officers from the Shouguang City Domestic Security Division. Their home was ransacked and their Dafa books were confiscated. Her husband’s whereabouts are currently unknown. Ms. Guo could not endure this and died.
