Crimes Committed by Police and 610 Office Staff in Zhaoyuan City, Shandong Province

January 02, 2014 | By a Minghui correspondent from Shandong Province, China

(Minghui.org) The 610 Office was established throughout China to spearhead the Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP) persecution of Falun Gong. It not only dictates to the government, court system and police, but also influences all of society.

Falun Gong is a peaceful practice whose practitioners live by the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance, yet they are arrested from their homes, their jobs or even in public. The torture they endure is brutal, with no consideration for age, gender, or physical condition.

The following are only a few examples of the many thousands of Falun Gong practitioners that suffer at the hands of the CCP. The location of the incidents listed below is Zhaoyuan City, Shandong Province, where practitioners are handed long sentences and the persecution has raged for 14 years.

Unrelenting Violence

Mr. Zhang Guihao from Chenjia Village was savagely beaten until he died by police officers Song Shaochang, Wang Yucheng, and Shao Zhouzan during the 20 days he was held in the Lingnan Brainwashing Center of Linglong Town.

Mr. Kao Fuquan from Kaojia Village was almost beaten to death by the Domestic Security Team and 610 Office staff in Zhaoyuan. His ribs were broken and his internal organs were shutting down. When he was sentenced to prison, the prison refused to accept him due to his poor condition. Mr. Kao does not dare to show himself in public even now to evade further persecution.

Ms. Yang Wenjie, who lived in the Zhaoyuan City area, was arrested again in 2010 and is being tortured in the Women’s Prison in Ji’nan City, Shandong Province.

“I Have Beaten People Since I Was 18 Years Old”

Seven practitioners in Zhaoyuan City were arrested by the Domestic Security Team and 610 Office in Zhaoyuan in 2010. They were tortured for several months and later sentenced to from four to eight years in prison.

The seven practitioners are: Mr. Kao Fuquan and his wife Song Guihua, and Ms. Diao Yunying, all from Kaojia Village; Ms. Fang Cuirong, a 50-year-old vegetable farmer living in Wenjia Village; Ms. Yang Lanxiang living in Shiduitou Village; and Ms. Teng Yingfen and Ms. Yang Wenjie from the city.

Mr. Kao was beaten and tortured several days in a row. Also, his family’s phones were monitored. The officers who beat Mr. Kao included Song Shaochang, vice director of the 610 Office; Wang Yucheng, police officer from the Domestic Security Team; and Li Haifeng, head of the brainwashing center.

The Iron Chair

The torture room in the brainwashing center in Linglong Town features an iron chair, a notorious method of torture device. The victim is immobilized and then beaten with rods, ropes, and electric wires. Ms. Yang Lanxiang, who is disabled, and Ms. Yang Wenjie were also shocked with electric batons, until they sustained anal prolapse, by Wang Yucheng and Song Shaochang.

Officers beat Ms. Fang Cuirong, breaking several teeth, and causing severe bruising. She lapsed into a coma and was taken to the emergency room.

Ms. Teng Yingfen and Ms. Wang Haohong (arrested in 2009) were beaten on their legs so severely that they have still not recovered.

One aim of the CCP is to destroy the spirit of Falun Gong practitioners by torturing them until they sign a document stating that they will give up their practice. This happened to Ms. Song Guihua. She was beaten black and blue over every inch of her body.

On the day a different group of practitioners was arrested, they were severely beaten. One of the practitioners asked the police, “Why are you, as police officers, allowed to beat people?” Police officer Wang Yucheng replied, “Why shouldn’t we? I have been beating people ever since I was 18 years old.” Wang Yucheng is now the lieutenant of the Domestic Security Team in Zhaoyuan.

Ms. Yang Wenjie Tortured in Jinan Prison

Mr. Kao Fuquan was dying after being tortured in the brainwashing center. After he was sentenced, he was carried from the courtroom to the prison on a stretcher. The prison police said in surprise, “How can a dying person be sent to prison?” Mr. Kao was immediately taken to the hospital and diagnosed with many serious problems.

Some practitioners could not endure the intense mental and physical torture, so they wrote guarantee statements claiming they would give up practicing. Ms. Yang Wenjie refused to surrender to the CCP, so they transferred her to Jinan Prison.

Once, five strong men beat her, then forced her to drink their urine! She was put in a dark, isolated room with no heat in the winter and no ventilation in the summer. She is never given enough food and is never allowed out, either to eat or to use the restroom. Ms. Yang is still sufferng in that room.

Some practitioners in Jinan Women’s Prison went on a hunger strike for a long period of time. Hunger strikes are used as a form of protest against their illegal imprisonment. As their strength faded, they were taken away and force fed.

In the process of force feeding, the police or doctors use special tools to open the mouths of their victims, or they insert a thick plastic tube through the nasal cavity. Many times they are either inexperienced or not careful, causing internal injuries and bleeding. Sometimes the tube is inserted incorrectly and goes into a lung, and the victim dies in intense pain.

Those Charged with Carrying out the Law Violate the Law

When he initiated the persecution of Falun Gong in 1999, Jiang Zemin shouted, “Ruin their reputations, bankrupt them financially, and destroy them physically!” There are no official records on how to carry out the persecution, so all the orders have been delivered orally.

The CCP leaders know that they may be charged with crimes in the future, so they do not dare to sign any formal documents. They want to shirk their responsibility and let the police in charge of the arrests and beatings take the blame. Such tactics have been seen a lot during the 60 years since the CCP has ruled China. More details of their innumberable crimes can be found on the Minghui website.
