(Minghui.org) On January 24 and 25, 2014, Falun Dafa practitioners in Poland traveled to the ancient city of Torun, the hometown of famous astronomer Copernicus, to hold a signature drive calling for an end to the forced organ harvesting of persecuted Dafa practitioners and other prisoners of conscience in China.

Even though the temperature was 15 degrees below zero, after the practitioners set up their informational banners on the Old Town Square, many people gathered to read the information and talk to the practitioners.

Local radio station PiK reported on the event. The radio broadcast said that Falun Gong (also known as Falun Dafa) is a traditional cultivation practice that originated in China, but the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) has been brutally persecuting the practice since 1999. The CCP has even gone so far as to run a lucrative business by forcibly harvesting organs from living Falun Gong practitioners for sale in organ transplantation surgeries. The radio station urged the citizens of Torun to come to Old Town Square to sign the petition, which is to be presented to the United Nations Commission on Human Rights.

Other radio stations picked up the message and many people came to the square to participate in the signature drive after hearing the broadcast. One middle-aged man signed his name and said, “Mankind must understand that one can’t be at enmity with God.”
