(Minghui.org) Falun Gong practitioners Mr. Wang Silong, Mr. Zhu Jiangying, and Mr. Zhu Xiaoteng are from Chunqian Village, Gaoan City, Jiangxi Province. They have been arrested and illegally detained in the Yifeng County Detention Center.
They went to Xinzhuang Town, Yifeng County, to distribute Falun Gong materials on February 25, 2014, and were arrested at about 10 p.m. by officers from the Xinzhuang Police Station in Chunqian Town.
The following afternoon, the police transferred them secretly to the Yifeng County Detention Center. They have now been held for more than two weeks.
Background
Mr. Wang Silong was not a good person before. After he began practicing Falun Gong, he no longer smoked or drank and he gave up many other vices. His transformation changed his neighbors’ opinion of him. They now see him as a good man.
Between 1999 and 2007, Mr. Wang was arrested twice and both times held in a forced labor camp for two years. In the Jiangxi No. 2 Labor Camp, he had to work 18 hours a day making lanterns. He only was allowed two hours rest. Guards beat him until he vomited blood. He contracted tuberculosis.
Mr. Zhu Jiangying was a self-employed businessman. He worked so hard his health suffered. After becoming a practitioner in 1998, he no longer was self-centered and regained his health.
Mr. Zhu Xiaoteng was managing tens of thousands of yuan in public funds for his village. His honesty in dealing with the village funds won him the trust of the villagers. As is a dutiful son he takes care of his 80-year-old, terminally ill mother.
