Australian Associated Press: Queensland Trio to File Lawsuits against Former Chinese Dictator

July 12, 2015

(Minghui.org) The Australian Associated Press (AAP) recently ran a report about three Queensland Falun Gong practitioners–Mr. John Meng, Mr. David Yu, and Mr. Xie Weiguo–who fled persecution in China and are now filing lawsuits against China’s former dictator, Jiang Zemin.

Mr. Xie fled to Australia after the persecution began in 1999 to avoid being targeted. Mr. Meng, Mr. Yu, and Mr. Yu’s family were all jailed for practicing Falun Gong.

Mr. Meng, 42, a Queensland University PhD student, says he was subject to all sorts of abuse during his 9 years in jail. Aside from being beaten and tortured, prison guards forced him to work in the fields or ordered him to assemble ornaments to be sold overseas.

“When I was arrested, the police beat me brutally,” he told AAP.

“They used a wooden stick to hit my knees, my shins and my back, and I was seriously injured.

“In prison they deprived me of sleep and tried to brainwash me.”

Mr. Meng and Mr. Yu recalled frequent blood tests while they were in jail. They explained that the communist regime has compiled a database for its forced organ harvesting program. Whenever a hospital needs an organ, it used this database to match blood and tissue types. Prisoners are then killed on demand, and their organs sold at high prices.

Following a legal reform in China earlier this year that guarantees all lawsuits will be processed, complaints against the former Chinese dictator are being filed by the thousands. Falun Gong practitioners alone have filed over 60,000 of them in the last couple of months.
Ms. Yan Zhao, Chinese cultural studies lecturer and Falun Gong practitioner, told AAP, “I’m sure when his crimes are brought into broad daylight, he and his close followers will have to be brought to justice.”
