San Francisco Gallery Hosts Exhibition of Falun Gong Artwork

August 27, 2015

( The opening ceremony for “The Art of Zhen, Shan, Ren (Truth, Compassion, Tolerance) International Exhibition” was held in the YouCaring Compassion in Action Gallery in downtown San Francisco on August 21. The show will be up for a week.

Because the exhibition hall is in the downtown area, the rental fee is high. But the gallery owner was deeply moved by the artwork and its message and waived the fee.

Visitors study the paintings.

I Sense the Divine [in the Artwork]

Exhibit visitor Mr. Satnam Nandha, who works at the Federal Reserve Bank, was very impressed by this collection of artwork by Falun Gong practitioners.

“I like all the works. Wonderful. I sense the divine in them,” he told the Minghui correspondent.

Mr. Nandha’s favorite was the painting “Melting into the Fa.”

“The artist must be highly spiritual,” he said. “It reflects peace and manifests the inner world of the artist’s heart.”

The painting shows a mother holding a baby and reading the book Zhuan Falun, the main book of the Falun Gong teachings, under low lamplight.

“If everybody could reach this kind of inner peace, the world would be a wonderful place,” he said.

Mr. Nandha also learned about the persecution of Falun Gong in China from some of the paintings. He said he couldn’t understand why anyone would persecute such peaceful, kind people.

I Admire Their Perseverance

Samantha, a media editor from New York, said the exhibition was not her first encounter with Falun Gong. She said she had learned about the persecution from numerous Falun Gong events in Manhattan.

“I’m glad I got to see this wonderful artwork, which has helped me learn more about Falun Gong,” she said. “I admire their [practitioners] perseverance and strong faith in the face of the persecution. I can sense positive energy from the artwork. The peacefulness, kindness, and dignity of the practitioners is remarkable.”

The exhibition will continue until August 28.

Falun Gong Practitioners Share Takeaways from San Francisco Conference (Photos)

October 19, 2014 | By Minghui correspondents Xiao Yan and De Xiang in San Francisco

( More than three thousand Falun Gong practitioners from around the world attended the 2014 San Francisco Falun Gong Experience Sharing Conference on October 16, 2014. Master Li Hongzhi, the founder of Falun Gong, lectured for more than two hours at the conference. Afterwards, several practitioners shared their feelings and insights.

Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance Is Key

Degr Svab from the Czech Republic

“At a certain moment during his lecture, I felt as if Master Li spoke directly to me. It was a tremendous encouragement,” said Degr Svab from the Czech Republic. “I feel I’m confident and clear on what I will do and how to improve in my cultivation. This is what I’ll take away from the conference.”

Mr. Svab began practicing Falun Gong about ten years ago. “I reached the lowest point in my life then, and I had no idea what to do, so I began reading something about martial arts. My sister said she could give me a book to learn to do sitting meditation, and thus I obtained the book Zhuan Falun.”

“When I read the book, it seemed I already knew that what’s written in the book is real. It’s profound, but I could learn it,” he recalled. “I suddenly realized a month later that many things in my life had been far away from the standard Master Li talks about in the book. I felt I must live up to the standard.”

Mr. Svab said he believes that Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance are high and profound principles, and that he will never be able to comprehend them thoroughly. “For me, it is a key. If I can keep these principles in mind, no matter what problem I encounter and what decision I need to make, if I follow these principles to gauge things and myself, I can always find a solution,” he said.

Learning the Language to Inform Chinese of Falun Gong and Persecution

Dima Suchin from Germany

“I cherish the opportunity to attend a large-scale conference. I can always learn a lot from other practitioners,” said Dima Suchin from Germany. “Master Li talked seriously about cultivation this time. I understand that every one of us should be responsible for what we do. Doing the three things well is indeed very important. I can’t slack off and seek comfort. Instead, I should truly advance on the path of cultivation.”

Dima began practicing Falun Gong in 2006. He said that to him, Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance means “telling the truth, being an upright person, thinking of others in doing all things, being calm no matter how others treat us, and that one can’t do whatever he wants.”

“I think people in mainland China should take a good look at Falun Gong and ignore the lies concocted by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP),” he continued, “You can see that people in more than 100 countries are practicing Falun Gong. Practitioners have created many wonderful things, like the Divine Land Marching Band. I hope people can approach and get to know Falun Gong instead of letting the CCP tell them what Falun Gong is about. They should judge for themselves.”

In order to do better in helping Chinese people learn about Falun Gong and the Chinese regime’s persecution of the practice, he took some time to learn Chinese. He reflected, “I think Falun Gong is profound Chinese culture. It has changed my life for the better. I love Chinese people, and I’m happy to meet them. I hope to have a better connection with them, so I need to learn Chinese.”

He finally said in Chinese, “Hello, Chinese people, I’m Dima, I’m from Germany. I cultivate Falun Gong, and Falun Gong is great.”

Falun Gong Teaches Me to Look Within

Zhi Jing traveled from Ottawa said that she passed a test on her journey to attend this conference. She arrived late at the airport on October 14 and missed her flight. She reasoned that she couldn’t board the plane that day because she still had a test to pass in cultivation.

She said she looked within after returning home and found many attachments that she had not abandoned for a long time, such as resentment, being unable to balance work and cultivation, and others. Many factors contributed to her missing her plane that day. She said she also realized that it would be real improvement if when encountering a conflict, she can have compassion, does not complain about others, and takes it lightly.

“I attended the conference and listened to Master Li’s lecture, I felt I was engrossed in it. I understand I should treat any tests and tribulations in cultivation with righteous thoughts. I need to improve in many aspects Master Li mentioned in his lecture. I’ve benefited a lot,” Zhi added.

San Francisco: Rally and Parade Protest 15 Years of Persecution

July 21, 2014 | By Minghui correspondents Li Ruoyun and Wang Ying

( Falun Gong practitioners protested 15 years of persecution by the Chinese communist regime with a series of events in San Francisco on July 19: a group exercise at the UN plaza, a rally and parade, a photo exhibit, and torture re-enactment in the city. They held the activities to call for an end to the persecution and for bringing the main perpetrators to justice.

The persecution of Falun Gong was officially launched overnight on July 20, 1999.

Mourning Falun Gong practitioners persecuted to death in China

Ms. Yu Zizhen

Yu Zizhen shared her personal story at the rally. She arrived in the United States less than a year ago. She said that hers was one of the many families torn apart by the brutal persecution in China.

She was born on January 24, 1999. Her father Yu Ming and mother Ma Li were arrested on January 1, 2000 for handing out truth-clarification materials. In the following 10 years, her father was incarcerated three times and detained for nearly eight years. Her memory of her father was basically one labor camp to another, one brainwashing center to another and torture, hunger strikes and electric shocks.

Mr. Yu finally came home in 2009. He was nearly a complete stranger to her. In 2013, Mr. Yu was illegally arrested again.

Ms. Yu hoped her personal story would inspire more people to help end the persecution and set free all imprisoned Falun Gong practitioners.

San Francisco, USA: Protest at Chinese Consulate Calls for Release of Yu Ming (Photos)

November 21, 2013 | By Minghui correspondent Li Ruoyu

( Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Yu Ming has suffered years of persecution at the hands of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). He was illegally arrested again in September 2013, and his family in China have not been able to contact him. On November 12, 2013, Mr. Yu’s wife and daughter, along with other Falun Gong practitioners from the Bay Area, held a press conference and peaceful demonstration in front of the Chinese Consulate in San Francisco to expose the CCP’s brutal persecution of Yu Ming. The practitioners demanded Mr. Yu’s immediate release.

Mrs. Ma Li, wife of Falun Gong practitioner Yu Ming, and other Falun Gong practitioners protest the CCP’s arrest of Mr. Yu and demand his release in front of the Chinese Consulate in San Francisco, Nov. 12, 2013.

Yu Ming’s wife and fourteen-year-old daughter recount the persecution that the family has suffered.

Mr. Yu’s wife, Mrs. Ma Li and their fourteen-year-old daughter were visiting San Francisco when they heard that Yu Ming was abducted in China by the Shenyang City Domestic Security Team and the local police of Beizhen. Mr. Yu was taken away on August 29, 2013 when he was visiting his sister to help her prepare for his nephew’s wedding. According to the police, the reason for the arrest was the upcoming National Games in Shenyang and the upcoming visit of CCP head Xi Jinping to the Duofu residential community in the Shenhe District of Shenyang City. Mr. Yu managed to escape on August 30, but was arrested again on September 24 and held in the First Detention Center of Shenyang City. His current situation is unknown.

According to Mrs. Ma, her husband’s family in Shenyang have tried to visit him in the detention center and his attorney has tried to see him six times. However, all of the visitation requests were declined by the detention center, under various pretexts.

Subjected to Years of Persecution

Forty-two-year-old Falun Gong practitioner Yu Ming is the owner of a clothing business with more than one hundred employees. Because he upholds his freedom of belief, he was imprisoned three times from 2001 to 2009. He was tortured by various methods, including being severely beaten, shocked with high-voltage electric batons, tied to a bed board, exposed to the hot sun for extended periods of time, confined in a solitary cell, and tied up with a dog leash.

In 2001, Yu Ming was detained in the Tuanhe Forced Labor Camp in Beijing. He was deprived of sleep, forced to stand under the hot sun, shocked on his feet, and forced to perform hard labor. He was arrested again in October 2003, after being free only a short time. He was detained at the Tuanhe Forced Labor Camp again and was later transferred to the No. 1 Forced Labor Camp in the Kaiping District of Tangshan City, Hebei Province.

In March 2006, Mr. Yu was arrested by security officers from the National Security Team of Beijing. He was then detained at the Beijing Forced Labor Camp Dispatch Center. On September 14, 2006, Mr. Yu was transferred to the Tuanhe Forced Labor Camp again. This time, the guards used another form of torture on him. They tied Mr. Yu to a chair, binding his neck, chest, hands, and legs. Other inmates were assigned to watch him constantly for the rest of the year. Yu Ming suffered two heart attacks during this period. His weight dropped quickly, from 175 lb. to 100 lb., and his muscles atrophied. He could no longer keep his back straight without assistance, or raise his arms and hands.

On May 21, 2007, Yu Ming was transferred to Masanjia Forced Labor Camp, a place notorious for brutally torturing inmates. There he was beaten, shocked with electric batons, and hung by his wrists for several days. He was detained for three months in a large iron cage, designed so that he could not stand up or lie down. The guards shocked his genitals with electric batons and then poured cold water over him. They beat him with an iron bar until he lost consciousness.

Family Traumatized

Mr. Yu’s family also suffered tremendously under the persecution. His father was so traumatized by the persecution that he passed away in 2002. His daughter has rarely seen her father since she was two. She witnessed the horror of her family members being abducted and beaten. Mr. Yu’s two-year-old son was sound asleep in his daddy’s arms when the police broke in and arrested Mr. Yu. The little boy was terrified on seeing his father beaten and abused, and could not speak for many days. He still has nightmares and cries at night.

At the November 12 press conference, Mrs. Ma said at the end of her statement, “I’m a Chinese. I love my country. I’m not interested in politics or political power. We Falun Gong practitioners believe that the good will be rewarded and the wicked punished. During the persecution of Falun Gong, Jiang Zemin’s regime has destroyed thousands and thousands of families like mine. The CCP’s crimes are too numerous to list. It must be brought to justice. I’m calling for the Chinese officials to conform to the law of heaven and the people’s will, and release imprisoned Falun Gong practitioners. Let’s work together to end this illegal persecution of innocent people and bring Jiang’s regime to justice.”

San Francisco: Nearly a Thousand Visitors at the Fremont Festival of the Arts Sign a Petition to End China’s Organ Harvesting Crimes (Photos)

August 09, 2013 | By Wang Ying in Fremont, California

( The Fremont Festival of the Arts is the largest two-day street festival west of the Mississippi River. 2013 marks the festival’s 30 th anniversary. Organizers estimated that approximately 400,000 people attended the event.

Falun Gong practitioners participated and collected signatures to call for an end to the forced organ harvesting from living Falun Gong practitioners by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) in China.

People condemned these inhuman atrocities and nearly a thousand people signed the petition.

Falun Gong practitioners came to downtown Fremont early Saturday morning, August 3, to set up a booth in the free speech zone provided by organizers. They displayed posters illustrating the Chinese Communist regime’s atrocities of harvesting organs from Falun Gong practitioners while they are still alive.

People were shocked at the horrific photos and illustration, and asked, “Is the persecution of Falun Gong still going on?” After they were told about the live organ harvesting, they described it as “too evil,” “horrible,” and “barbaric.” Many passersby walked up to the practitioners’ booth to sign the petition which calls for an end to such an unprecedented criminal act.

Mollyanne Sherman from Newark said that she had heard about the persecution a few years ago, but never thought that it was still going on. She said that the CCP’s live organ harvesting is completely wrong, and condemned it as, “a barbaric act.”

“This is horrible!” exclaimed Fremont resident Penny Cshemlew. She said, “They remove people’s organs this way and sold them for profit. They take no regard of people’s lives, it’s horrific!”

Another Fremont resident Judith McLrinty walked up to the practitioners’ booth and asked to sign the petition. She said that she had learned about the persecution of Falun Gong in China ten years ago. “The CCP is too cruel to Chinese people. We should let more people learn about this. I support your effort!” she said.

Peggie Linde signed the petition and also asked her friends to sign. She said that she had learned about Falun Gong a few years ago, and often saw practitioners participating in local parades. She called for an end to the CCP’s atrocities of harvesting organs from certain groups of people. She told practitioners she supported their efforts to end the persecution.

The signature drive started a few weeks ago across the San Francisco Bay area.

It was initiated when House Resolution 281 was introduced by Congresswoman Ileana Ros-Lehtinen (R-Fla.) and Rep. Robert Andrews (D-N.J.) in the House Committee on Foreign Affairs in June. The resolution calls on China to immediately stop the practice of organ harvesting from its prisoners, particularly from Falun Gong prisoners of conscience and “members of other religious and ethnic minority groups.”

Many people have become increasingly aware of the atrocity and condemn it. Some people carefully read the Resolution 281, and said that they would write to their local representatives, requesting that they sign the resolution as co-sponsors. Some said that they would tell their doctor friends about the CCP’s crime of harvesting organs from living people, and make sure the U.S. medical community knows about it.

San Francisco: Exposing the Chinese Regime’s 14-Year Brutal Persecution of Falun Gong (Photos)

July 22, 2013 | By a Minghui correspondent in San Francisco, California, USA

( On July 20, 1999, the Chinese communist regime launched a violent campaign to eradicate Falun Gong, a peaceful meditation practice that has brought health and happiness to millions of people worldwide.

On July 19, 2013, Falun Gong practitioners in San Francisco, California, held an “anti-torture” exhibit to mark 14 years of the brutal persecution of Falun Gong practitioners in China, which has continued to this day. Millions of practitioners have been illegally imprisoned in detention centers, brainwashing centers, forced labor camps and prisons in China, being subjected to inhumane torture and abuse.

The exhibit was held in front of the City Hall to raise awareness of the Chinese regime’s blatant disregard of human rights and its deplorable crime of harvesting organs from living Falun Gong practitioners.

Practitioners reenacted some of the torture methods that the Chinese regime has used on detained Falun Gong practitioners and called upon kindhearted people of the world to step forward and help stop the regime’s human rights abuses.

Widespread Support

Many San Francisco residents and visitors to the city stopped by the exhibit to learn about Falun Gong and show their support. Heartfelt comments, such as “What you are doing is very meaningful!” and “These crimes must be stopped!” were heard throughout the day.

More than 500 people signed a petition to call upon members of the U.S. Congress to pass House Resolution No. 281.

The resolution was introduced by Congresswoman Ileana Ros-Lehtinen (R-Fla.) and Congressman Robert Andrews (D-N.J.) in the House Committee on Foreign Affairs this summer. It calls on China to immediately stop the practice of organ harvesting from prisoners, particularly from Falun Gong prisoners of conscience and “members of other religious and ethnic minority groups.”

People Condemn the Persecution

In addition to serving the needs of government officials, San Francisco City Hall is one of the city’s famous tourist spots, drawing crowds of people from all walks of life every day. Falun Gong practitioners reenacted “harvesting organs from a living Falun Gong practitioner” and three torture methods–“Water Dungeon,” “Being Hung Up” and “Tiger Bench”–attracting attention of many passersby.

Mario, who used to work for the San Francisco Symphony, walked up to a practitioner and told her that it is very important that more people learn about what is happening in China. “People must learn about this,” he said.

Therapist Laura Agnew and her friends were surprised upon seeing the anti-torture exhibit. After a practitioner explained to them about how the agents of the Chinese communist regime have tortured Falun Gong practitioners and forcibly removed their organs, selling them for profit, Dr. Agnew thanked the practitioner and said, “Undoubtedly, it [the persecution] must be stopped!” She and her friends all signed the petition.

A passerby speaks with a practitioner to learn more about Falun Gong.

Many people sign a petition calling on the members of U.S. Congress to pass House Resolution No. 281.

“It’s very inhuman,” said Pfitzer, an accountant working for a government agency in San Francisco, referring to the act of organ harvesting from living Falun Gong practitioners. She also signed the petition. “You should let more people learn about it. I hope these crimes can be stopped as soon as possible,” she said.

Kash, a business owner in the city, had seen practitioners hold various activities to expose the persecution and thus already had some understanding of Falun Gong. He suggested that practitioners let a wide range of people learn about the persecution, not only within the San Francisco city government, but also among the members of NGOs and the federal government.

Many people keep silent because of the economic benefits coming from China, noted Kash. “So you should vigorously do this thing [expose the persecution]. I hope that these situations will be quickly changed,” he said.

“It’s shocking!” exclaimed Terri, a nurse, as she passed by and learned about the forced live organ harvesting. She thanked the practitioners for exposing the truth. “It’s the most evil crime in human society. I hope it will be stopped immediately!” she added.

Shen Yun’s Brilliantly Artistic Performance Wows Audiences in San Francisco (Photos)

( As part of its 2013 World Tour, Shen Yun Performing Arts International Company staged seven sold-out shows at the SHN Orpheum Theatre, a historic San Francisco, California, landmark, March 20-24. The New York-based group has performed every year in the city since 2007.

Olympic Gold Medalist Falls in Love with Shen Yun

Mark Henderson, former Olympic gold medalist, and his daughter

Shen Yun always attracts an enthusiastic crowd wherever it performs. This was especially true during its recent seven-show run in San Francisco.

Many VIPs and distinguished guests attended, one of them former Olympic gold medalist swimmer Mark Henderson, who is also a three-time world champion and five-time national swimmer.

“We loved it! We loved it! It’s very good. My daughter is five years old, so it’s perfect for her,” he enthused.

Mr. Henderson, who is the managing director at Janney Capital, a financial services firm, commented on the athleticism of the dancers. “They’re in very good shape,” he said, adding that he also “liked the synchronicity of the Chinese dancing.”

He praised the digitally animated backdrops, saying they were “beautiful.” He also liked how the backdrops brought together the “live and animated” aspects of the show.

About the first dance, “Descending to the World,” he said, “That showed a lot of creativity!”

Former Company VP: Shen Yun “Best Show I’ve Ever Seen”

Richard Wolfe, former VP at 20th Century Fox

Also in the audience was Richard Wolfe, former VP of technology at 20th Century Fox. He said Shen Yun was the “most amazing show” he had ever seen.

“Unbelievable. Best show I’ve ever seen. No question,” said Mr. Wolfe, who now owns a video-editing company in Los Angeles.

“I’m just totally impressed with the entire presentation. Unbelievable. I’ve never seen anything like it.”

Mr. Wolfe’s family owns the Columbus Dispatch in Columbus, Ohio, as well as CBS affiliate WBNS-TV and radio station WBNS-FM.

“I’ve seen a lot of shows, both in New York and in Hollywood. I worked in Hollywood for many years. I was vice-president of technology for 20th Century Fox, so I have a lot of experience in knowing what goes on the screen, but this is live and amazing.”

“This show is the most amazing show I have ever seen so far … I think it’s brilliantly artistic. Much more artistic than anything I have seen. I’m totally impressed with the skill of all of the performers and their knowledge of each scene.”

Mr. Wolfe commented on how difficult it is to put on such a large-scale event, saying that it “seems an impossible effort.”

He also enjoyed the effects of the digitally-animated backdrops, noting, “The synchronization of the photographic effects on the screen and the effects of the people on the stage is so perfect and so well done.

“I have never seen this technique before … Unbelievable. I’m just totally impressed.”

When asked if he would recommend the show to his friends, he replied, “I would say that if you miss this show, you miss the best show I have ever seen.”

TV and Film Producer Lauds Shen Yun

David Shea, TV and film producer

Also seated in the audience was TV and film producer David Shea, who said he was deeply touched by the Shen Yun stories.

“Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful visual,” Mr. Shea lauded after coming out of the theater. “It’s enticing.”

“I loved the stories, I loved [‘The Emperor Journeys to the Moon’] and I loved [‘An Unexpected

Encounter’], it was bittersweet,” he said.

The dance “An Unexpected Encounter” tells the story of a father and daughter who are touring China. One day, they have a fateful encounter with the spiritual group Falun Dafa and realize that the group is being severely persecuted in China.

“You fly to the moon, and you have the flowers behind you, and it sort of seems like fantasy, but it’s all right here in your head and in your heart,” Mr. Shea said. “Ultimately, it’s all about love and mankind.”

Mr. Shea was particularly excited by the spiritual aspect of traditional Chinese culture, which Shen Yun brought to life on stage. “When you have the spiritual element, to me it takes you to a higher level,” he explained.

Seeing the performance made him feel at peace, “sort of like a meditation.”

Shen Yun is “a bit of everything in a way. There’s fantasy, there’s down to earth, and there’s sadness of real life. Like they said, you couldn’t, I guess, in China you don’t see this. So it hits home in certain areas,” Mr. Shea said.

With a background in film, the producer referred to Shen Yun’s digital and animated backdrop as “a treat. I loved every time that they went to fly,” he said of the dancers’ seamless transitions from stage to screen.

“And I knew that they would go to the moon in that one. And I was waiting for it, and so they did. It took you on a journey.”

SF Bay Area Welcomes Shen Yun on Opening Night

The SHN Orpheum Theatre in San Francisco

Another audience member, John Dutra, thought that Shen Yun was “Just absolutely excellent, spectacular, graceful … beyond extraordinary!”

Mr. Dutra, chairman of the board of a real estate investment company, described the show as

“Beautiful, incredibly entertaining, I couldn’t have enjoyed it more.”

He was taken by the “elegance of the dance and the story.” He said Shen Yun “has a profound message as well as being beautiful, glamorous, and appealing.

“I will most certainly recommend it to my friends,” said Mr. Dutra, who came out of the performance “with a sense of relaxation, a sense of just sheer enjoyment.”

A proclamation initiated by San Francisco supervisor, David Campos, said: “Shen Yun presents the universal values—dignity, compassion, inclusion, courage, loyalty … which are just so important and beneficial to modern society.

“Shen Yun touches millions of hearts deeply; provokes righteousness and conscience, enlightens wisdom and nourish souls.”

Proclamations were also issued by mayors from Oakland, Daly City, South San Francisco, Santa Clara, Mountain View, Redwood City, Sunnyvale, Novato, Piedmont, and Colma.

“We are excited to see the return of this magnificent company to San Francisco and the Bay Area,” said Santa Clara mayor Jamie Matthews in a proclamation.

“Shen Yun Performing Arts brings together some of the world’s foremost classically trained Chinese dancers, choreographers, musicians, and vocalists,” he said.

Vice Mayor of San Jose Madison Nguyen wrote in a statement: “Shen Yun has become the number one live performance sensation worldwide and has delighted, dazzled, and inspired audiences in over 100 cities on five continents.”

Shen Yun “Just a Delight,” Says Former Mayor

Art Agnos, former San Francisco mayor, and his wife, Sherry

Former San Francisco Mayor Art Agnos was thoroughly delighted by Shen Yun.

“The show was magnificent. We just absolutely delight in the acrobatic athleticism of the dancers and the wonderful colors and their various costumes. Just a delight to watch,” Mr. Agnos enthused.

He said that the show provided him an overall view of the different parts of China.

“It’s very special the way that they jump out of the screen and pop up right on the stage,” Mr. Agnos said. “The timing of that is very, very good.”

Shen Yun dancers perform mostly classical Chinese dance, along with ethnic and folk dances from the 50-plus minority groups in China.

“My Soul Was Thoroughly Cleansed,” Says Lady From China

The SHN Orpheum Theatre

Ms. Zhang said the performance was “amazingly beautiful,” adding, “My soul was thoroughly cleansed.”

She came all the way from Beijing to the United States just to see Shen Yun.

“Now, I am still absolutely stunned. This atmosphere, this scenery, there are no words to describe it,” she said. “It must have been the power of gods and Buddhas, for me to be feeling so amazed.”

Wiping away her tears, Ms. Zhang said, “The first program is so stunning. I truly feel that Buddha has arrived in our world.

“As for the Chinese people seeing this, they should take it as a warning,” she added. “Seeing their own culture, they should be enlightened. Equality and love should exist among people.”

She concluded, “I saw a CD of Shen Yun back in China. Now I have seen the performance in person. You could say that my long-awaited wish has come true.”
