Randy said the Falun Gong parade entry seems bigger every year.

“I knew that Falun Gong has been persecuted in China, but I didn’t know the details,” Randy added as he took an informational flyer from a practitioner.

“This is a peaceful group,” said Gerry, another spectator. “Their performances are excellent, and their music is uplifting.”

Gerry said the Falun Gong group’s music is uplifting.

“I know about the persecution of Falun Gong in China. They should have freedom. The persecution and torture are wrong. How can a peaceful group be so brutally tortured? Everybody should help to stop it,” Gerry said.

Pointing at a military tank entry, which was marching between the Falun Gong band and drum team, Gerry laughed: “You see? The tanks are between the two Falun Gong groups. This means that Falun Gong is protected by the national military in Canada.”

Brigit Fran was amazed that the members of the drum team, most of whom are senior citizens, were so energetic.

“They are dancing for such a long time, while playing the drums. It is truly great. I must learn more about this exercise,” Brigit said.

“They can freely demonstrate their beliefs in Canada and other places in the world. They bring joy to others. However, they don’t have freedom in China,” Kevin said.

Joan added, “Such a wonderful group should not be persecuted. We will do what we can to help them end the persecution.”

Over 200,000 spectators lined the 12-mile route along King Street to see the parade in person. CTV televised the event nationwide to about 1.8 million viewers.

The Divine Land Marching Band is one of a kind, and the parade hosts expressed their admiration. People commented on the sense of wonder and magnificence generated by the band.

I’m Excited Every Time I See Them

Gerica from Waterloo cheered and applauded the band with enthusiasm. She said, “I like them a lot. I’ve recently seen them in many parades. Every time I see them, I get especially excited.”

Monika from Kitchener said she has seen the band perform every year. She said, “I’m thrilled to see them–their performance is terrific. I thank them for working so hard to bring people such joy every year.”

Elio Rodrigues, owner of a driving school, has lived in Waterloo for 40 years. The parade passes by his office every year. He said, “The Divine Land Marching Band is wonderful. Their precision and attractive uniforms bring variety and life to the parade.”

William from Burma was watching the parade with his family. He said, “When the Falun Dafa entry passed in front of me, I was very touched. This group is persecuted in China. The Burmese government is also an authoritarian government. Being able to celebrate here in this land of freedom, I feel especially grateful. My thanks to Falun Dafa for bringing us such a fantastic performance.”

Chinese: Meaningful Performance

Mr. Jin, who is from Liaoning Province, China, came to see the parade with his wife and daughter. He said that although he has been in Canada for a year, this was the first time he had seen a parade here. “The Falun Dafa Divine Land Marching Band is magnificent and awesome. It’s not possible to see it in China.” His wife added, “Because of the persecution, forget about the parade, you can’t even mention Falun Dafa.” They took fliers and said they wished to learn more about Falun Dafa.

Mr. Zhao, who is also from China, called to his friends when the marching band was still far away, “Falun Dafa is coming! It’s very meaningful and worth taking a picture!”

Ms. Wu came to Canada from China with her husband. She said that the Divine Land Marching Band had an excellent image. “The band is one of a kind–you can’t see it in China. The people along both sides of the street smiled when they saw the band coming. It’s outstanding.”

There Are Falun Dafa Practitioners Everywhere in Taiwan

Mr. Su, from Taiwan, said that this was the first time seeing a Falun Dafa parade entry after living a year in Canada. “It’s very exciting. In Taiwan, there are many Falun Dafa practitioners doing different activities. Something this great is always welcomed. I know that it’s suppressed in China. The regime is brutal by nature.”

Ms. Wu is a visiting scholar from Taiwan. She said, “The marching band is so full of energy and life. Seeing this overseas gives me a really good feeling. I’m so lucky.”

Paris, France: Rally and Parade Held to Encourage Chinese People to Quit the Chinese Communist Party (Photos)

October 14, 2013 | By a Falun Dafa practitioner in France

(Minghui.org) Falun Dafa practitioners held a rally and parade in Paris on October 5, 2013, to draw attention to the crime of illegal organ harvesting in China and to support the 150 million Chinese people who have quit the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and its affiliated organizations.

Valerie Boyer, member of the National Assembly of France, sent a letter of support. She noted that Spain and the U.S. have passed resolutions asking China to stop the heinous killing of Falun Gong practitioners–a true crime against humanity. Ms. Boyer demanded that the president of France take action by protesting this crime taking place in China.

Wu Manyang, president of the Falun Dafa Association in Europe, and Tang Hanlong, president of the Falun Dafa Association in France, spoke at the rally and condemned the CCP’s brutality against Falun Gong practitioners in China.

Passersby were given information to help them understand the truth about the persecution of Falun Gong.

The parade passed through many busy districts, with the music of the Divine Land Marching Band drawing the attention of many passersby. Numerous banners and posters, along with broadcasts in both Chinese and French, provided information about Falun Dafa and the brutal persecution in China. Several people took photographs and videos of the grand parade.

Mr. Li, in his 70s, immigrated to France from China many years ago. As soon as he heard the music of the Divine Land Marching Band, he hurried home and got his camera to capture the moment. After he heard about the cruel organ harvesting, he said that he believed that the CCP would collapse soon. “It’s losing the people’s support. Every year there are hundreds of thousands of mass protests. People never get justice in the courtrooms. The corrupt officials are protected and the ordinary people never get any help. This kind of Party is hopeless,” Mr. Li said.

Another parade spectator, George, who is in the printing business, said that he was in disbelief when he heard about the organ harvesting. “It’s unheard of that organ harvesting from living people could be taking place in the 21st century. Everyone should stand up and take action to stop this evil crime.”

Many passersby signed a petition calling for an end to the persecution and organ harvesting. Volunteers from the Service Center for Quitting the CCP and Its Affiliates helped many Chinese people along the parade route to quit the CCP after they had learned the truth. One of them said, “A new dawn is coming, we know.” Another said, “China is the only place where we can’t get the truth about Falun Gong.” Many parade spectators expressed support for what the practitioners were doing and wished them success.
