Singapore, Malaysia, and Thailand: Chinese People Are Becoming More Receptive to Information about Quitting the CCP

By a volunteer at a service center to quit the CCP

(Clearwisdom.net) Singapore, Malaysia, and Thailand are popular destinations for Chinese tourists year round. Among the tourist sites in these countries, Malacca in Malaysia is especially popular. While enjoying beautiful scenery, tourists also learn the facts about the Chinese Communist Party (CCP)’s persecution of Falun Gong and the historic movement to quit the CCP and its affiliated organizations.

This is the seventh anniversary of the publication of the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party, and more and more people have come to know the truth from reading it. Chinese tourists, tour guides, and local people have gradually become more receptive, as volunteers of the service center for quitting CCP continue their efforts to explain the facts to Chinese people and encourage them to quit the CCP and its affiliated organizations.

A young couple on their honeymoon once came to a tourist site. One of the volunteers explained the facts to them and said, “You seem to love each other very much. There is a saying, ‘Mountain and water accompany each other for a long time.’ Let me give you pseudonyms meaning ‘mountain’ and ‘water’ to use to make your withdrawals from the CCP’s affiliated organizations. Then you will have a bright future together.” The young couple happily withdrew from the CCP organizations and thanked the volunteer.

A volunteer said, “Compared with a few years ago, Chinese people are now much more receptive. Those that object are rare. More and more people come to learn the facts. More and more people come to quit the CCP and its affiliated organizations. Some people appear indifferent, but then they ask for informational materials, including the Nine Commentaries.”

Some Chinese tourists already know the facts, but due to fear, they ask to withdraw from the CCP in a hurry or quickly put informational materials in their pockets and leave, pretending nothing happened.

Once a new tour guide who did not know the facts came and kept members of his tour group from taking informational materials. A volunteer told the tourists, “You take a tour and need to know your money is being well spent. When you cross the street, you need to look left and right. Today you have come here, and you also need to know more information. Look at the display boards with the information about the CCP and Falun Gong and learn the facts. Then you can discern right from wrong. All these informational materials are free. If you cannot take them back to China, you can leave them in your hotel after you read them.”

Since then, the tour guide has understood. When he brought new groups, he did not interfere with them taking informational materials. When his tourists learned the facts, he stood aside, smiling.

Occupation: Retired worker of Lishu County Environmental Protection Agency
Date of Death: October 7, 2011
Date of Most Recent Arrest: May 31, 2011
Most Recent Place of Detention: Jilin Province Women’s Prison (吉林省女子监狱)
City: Siping
Province: Jilin
Persecution Suffered: Forced labor, brainwashing, illegal sentencing, imprisonment, home ransacked, detention

(Clearwisdom.net) At 7:00 p.m. on October 7, 2011, Ms. Zhao Yanxia was tortured to death in the Jilin Province Women’s Prison (also called Heizuizi Prison). The area around her eyes was black and blue and she had bruises that clearly resulted from beatings. Ms. Zhao had only been transferred to this prison 23 days before.

In order to cover up the true cause of death, the prison authorities told several lies. Initially, they said that a physical exam found that Ms. Zhao had high blood pressure and heart problems when being admitted to the prison. If true, why had they admitted her? Later, they said that Ms. Zhao wanted to commit suicide. And again later, they said that one can pass away while sleeping. Finally, they said that Ms. Zhao lay down at 7:00 p.m. and didn’t pull through afterwards.

Because Ms. Zhao practiced Falun Gong, she was incarcerated in forced labor camps twice, once for one year and again for three years. On May 31, 2011, Ms. Zhao and Ms. Feng Na were arrested by officers from the Lishu County Domestic Security Division while they were distributing Falun Gong informational materials. The police seized Ms. Zhao’s keys and ransacked her home. Ms. Zhao and Ms. Feng were taken to the Siping Detention Center that evening.

Several days later, officer Wang Dejun returned the keys to Ms. Zhao’s brother and said, “No one can’t be ‘transformed‘ in the Heizuizi Prison.” Ms. Zhao’s brother found out that her home was in a mess, and her son’s computer and cellphone had disappeared. He had no idea what else was missing.

On September 10, 2011, Ms. Zhao’s family went to the Siping Detention Center to visit her. She was physically well. She refused to renounce Falun Gong despite the threats and brainwashing.

Ms. Zhao was later sentenced to three and a half years in prison. On September 14, 2011, she was secretly taken to the Jilin Province Women’s Prison without her family being notified.

At 11:58 p.m. on October 7, 2011, Ms. Zhao’s parents received a phone call from the prison, saying, “Zhao Yanxia died suddenly.” Ms. Zhao’s family went to the prison the next day. Ms. Zhao had died at 7:30 p.m. on October 7, but her family was notified at 11:58 p.m. What were the authorities doing during those four hours? Ms. Zhao’s family was only allowed to see her body at the funeral parlor after firmly requesting for it. Ms. Zhao’s eyes were black and blue and she had many bruises.

Ms. Zhao’s family requested an autopsy to find the cause of the death. The prison authorities tried to stall for time using various tactics. They also tried to stop the medical examiner, who is from out of town, from doing the autopsy. At the insistence of the attorney and Ms. Zhao’s family, they had to approve the medical examiner to do the autopsy.

(Clearwisdom.net) On the afternoon of November 11, 2011, Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Zhang Guihao was arrested at home by three plainclothes officers from the Zhaoyuan Domestic Security Division. The police ransacked his home and confiscated a computer, a VCD player, a photo of the founder of Falun Gong, and other personal belongings. He was later taken to the Lingnan Gold Mine Brainwashing Center. His family went to the brainwashing center inquiring about his whereabouts and the center authorities refused to tell them. On November 30, 2011, Mr. Zhang was tortured to death. The next day, his family was notified of his death only after the brainwashing center authorities had a secret meeting.

Mr. Zhang Guihao

The brainwashing center was moved to an abandoned building at the Lingnan Gold Mine in 2004, and guarded around the clock. There is a torture room on the second floor with a specially-made iron chair, with chains and foot locks. Falun Gong practitioners are bound to the iron chair, and then shocked with a hand operated high-voltage generator or electric batons and beaten with batons, ropes or several twisted wires. Other torture methods include tying practitioners up with ropes, deprivation of sleep, hanging by handcuffs, and force-feeding of unknown drugs.

The director of the brainwashing center has been changed many times since 2001. The current director is Li Haifeng, who was promoted in April 2011 from his previous position at the Political and Judiciary Committee. In the past ten-plus years, this brainwashing center has never stopped persecuting Falun Gong practitioners regardless of who the director is.
